When the time comes to present his house for the sale, it is very important to evaluate the lighting parts. To be presented at their full potential, they must have a quantity of light sources sufficient. Too often, people overlook the lighting in the house and can depreciate the value of their property, especially in winter when natural light is restricted. Here are some tips to guide you:

The living room and residence

We must have a minimum of five light sources. If you have recessed lighting or wall sconces, they should include a dimmer to reduce their intensity and create the desired atmosphere. To this we may add table lamps, floor lamps with 40 watt bulbs.

In the dining room

If the dining room is down, we must have a minimum of three light sources. The main source should be the fixture above the table. Be chosen preferably a chandelier or a lamp suspended about 30 inches from the table (the height can vary slightly depending on the style and size of the luminaire). If lights down, we can afford to go down a little (about 24 inches from the table). For the other two sources required, if the room does not have recessed lighting or wall sconces, you can easily add one or two lamps on a sideboard and top it off with a small projector on the floor, put it behind a plant! The effect of light and shadow projected on the ceiling will provide a majestic! If the dining room is open on other parts, only the light above the table may be sufficient.

The bedrooms

We must have a minimum of three light sources. We encourage the lamps rather than overhead lighting that provides a wan little inviting. However, if the output power is located in a place where you will not be there to hit the head (above the bed, for example), you can replace it with a chandelier hanging in a style more attractive ! For lamps, they must be well proportioned furniture. For example, if you have a big headboard, lamps should be higher and more imposing shade for better balance.

In the kitchen

In the kitchen, the light must shine forth! We will promote the lighting of work surfaces (countertops). Ideally, the kitchen will be many sources of lightings that sift if necessary. If you only have one light source at the center of the room, remember that you can install a rail multi-projector that will drive partly up to the cabinets and floor. Then, for the brightness on work surfaces, it is possible to buy at the hardware store small halogen lights that you will set you under cabinets and you can plug directly into a wall, taking care to conceal the son electric. Expect to have a light every 24 to 36 inches. There is also the market of small LED lights that run on batteries. Just paste them directly under cabinets, but be careful, you will add more as they do not explain much (one light every 12 inches).

In the bathroom or shower room

We must maximize the lighting at vanity, for it is often the only source of light in the room. If this is the case, one can provide a multiple lighting fixture. Beware of making the right choice of lighting according to output power up (ceiling or wall). If your bathroom has only one electrical outlet in the center of the room, we will consider seeking an electrician to send electricity to the vanity.

# The lighting enhances the decor
# Better to have more light sources, but with lower intensity
# The lamps are not only decorative elements important in a setting, but in addition, they provide a warm light source.

We should not minimize the importance of lighting, especially when it comes time to put the house on the market. This is an inexpensive way to substantially improve the appearance of parts.
